Copy Haste is a clipboard manager for macOS made by Inner Space Dev SRL. This page explains, in plain language, what information the app and this website deal with and what they do not.
What stays on your Mac
Your clipboard history is stored in a local database on your Mac and stays there. Copy Haste sends none of it to Inner Space Dev SRL and the app has no analytics or crash reporting of any kind, so nothing about how you use it is transmitted anywhere either.
Link previews
When you copy a link, Copy Haste can fetch a small preview, its title and icon, directly from the website behind that link. That request comes from your Mac, so the site you copied sees your IP address and the link itself, the same way it would if you opened it in a browser. The preview never passes through our servers.
Purchases
The App Store edition of Copy Haste is sold entirely by Apple, which handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. The direct edition, downloaded from copyhaste.app, is sold through LemonSqueezy: activating a licence sends your licence key and your Mac's computer name to LemonSqueezy so it can verify the purchase. We never see your payment details either way.
Updates
The App Store edition is updated by the App Store. The direct edition checks updates.copyhaste.app for new versions about once a day; that request carries your IP address and the app version, like any web request and nothing from your history.
This website
copyhaste.app uses Vercel Analytics to count visits. It is cookieless and only reports aggregated numbers, such as total page views, never anything tied to an individual visitor.
Deleting your data
Use Clear History inside Copy Haste at any time to erase your clipboard history. Deleting the app removes everything else it stored on your Mac.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it and the new version replaces this one here. There is no separate mailing list to sign up for.
